Also, are you sure it is safe mode that you are in - there should be the word "safe mode" displayed in each corner of the screen. |

| 271161 | 2004-09-11 01:59:00 | OK, well that just means you have lost your graphic drivers and it is running on the default Windows drivers which are pretty butt ugly. What sort of graphic card do you have, is it onboard or a separate card such as a nVidia or ATI? You will need to find the drivers for your graphic card and reinstall them. I don't suppose you have a motherboard CD that came with the computer? Is your mouse a PS/2 one (round plug) or a USB type mouse? |

If you do that, tell us what tab are available and what options are in them, especially under the Adapter tab. Your video card drivers may still be in there but un-used at this point. Another thing to try is: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Device Manager and look for the Display Adapter, is there a red strick through next to it or a yellow exclamation mark? Check your mouse while your in there. (not sure on win ME, you may have to go: System then choose Device Manager, each > above indicates your next step or choice,. hard to do without a mouse) Sorry if I missed this, what make and model is your mouse? look on the bottom if you don't know. | 271164 | 2004-09-11 04:25:00 | Is this tied in with the problem you posted yesterday afternoon (which you said you caused yourself by an unwise Delete) and got suggestions for here? Did you fix that one first - so this is completely new - or is this part of your Mum's effort to solve problem No 1? It would probably help those advising you if they knew the answer to this... |

As mentioned, with the exception of using the windows key, this can be accessed by tab, arrow and space bar keys amongst others. Cheers Murray P |
