271021	2004-09-10 13:08:00	I have a small usb memory stick containing passwords for a large group of staff that I'm afraid could one day possibly fall into prying teenage hands. Is their anyway to password protect it or hide the files on it? Any hints or advise would be greatfully accepted. New teach.	Newteach (4990)

271023	2004-09-10 13:32:00	How are the passwords stored on the memory stick - are they in a text document or a spreadsheet of some description? If so, have you considered password protecting the document that holds the password details?	andrew93 (249)
271024	2004-09-10 13:57:00	If it's a MS Office doc they're not hard to get into, plenty of toys on the net and even help on MS's site. I have heard that inserting a word doc or excell file into another obliterates all protection. Encyption as mentioned would be much safer. Cheers Murray P	Murray P (44)
271025	2004-09-10 15:56:00	I have an AES Encrypted 256-bit Reiser4 partition on my thumbdrive... Likelyness your PC can even read Reiser4? Very slim... Likelyness of you then finding out my password? Nil! Not hard to setup either.... But if you're stuck in the land of Doze, Ive heard Blowfish is the best, as PGP tells the whole world "Im PGP using a standard blocksize..." 271026	2004-09-10 19:17:00	Check out keysafe, search for keysafe IBM on google. There is a download that I think is intended for owners of the ibm memory key, which is free, but should work on any memory key. You can't see a damn thing until the password is entered. I set it up for someone with an IBM memory key and he uses it on about three different PCs and works well. No software installation required on the PCs. robo.	robo (205)
