271005 2004-09-10 09:51:00 Does anyone know if Macs can open .wmv files, for example, if it was embedded in a webpage?

Also, what sort of percentage of the population (home users) would use Macs at home, as opposed to Windows based PCs?

271006 2004-09-10 10:02:00 This might view a wmv file. Not sure if it will in an embedded site

The 2nd question would be hard to tell. I would use a MAC (well I used to use an Amiga), which was kind of similar. BUT I wouldnt want to look at a high res screen all day. Can get a bit hard on the eyes after a while.

271008 2004-09-10 10:58:00 Im sure i read somewhere that mac's now counted for less then 1% of new computer sales, and i would guess less then 10% of those sales were to the home market. metla (154)
271009 2004-09-10 11:03:00 1.7% market share at the end of 2003 acording to macworld. metla (154)
271010 2004-09-10 20:04:00 Thanks guy. So out of a sample of maye 500 people, I would excepct only 5 or so mac users, and possibly a couple of Linux users?

This is for a project i'm doing, which is an interactive CDROM with photos and video content for a non-profit organisation.
