Mozilla has a great browser called firefox, that is similar to IE in appearance, but is more secure / has less bugs.

271530 2004-09-12 05:46:00 Try this with IE open go to tools/internet options/programs and right at the bottom click the box that says Internet Explorer should check if it is the default browser. then Click reset web settings then click apply then o.k Maybe this will fix it.

271531 2004-09-12 06:12:00 When I was using IE, I used to click on the IE icon and Internet Explorer and the connect dialog box would come up together.

I assumed this was normal. Why do you connect up first?

271532 2004-09-12 07:32:00 If I do something like send/receive mail then want to use browser it will not open. Dumb1 (5351)
271533 2004-09-12 07:36:00 Have you tried repairing IE??

Go to Add/Remove Programs, select Internet Explorer and click Add/Remove.
You should get a dialog box asking whether you want to repair.

271534 2004-09-12 07:40:00 What happens if you don't connect to your ISP and just click a browser icon for IE? If it opens then click the read mail icon?

For IE have you checked out Tools > Internet Options > Connections?

What radio button is selected?
Never etc, Dial etc or Always etc?

If you are using Outlook Express have you got "hang up after sending or receiving" checked?
