This is the extension you want - Adblock 0.5.2+ (update.mozilla.org). Just click on the install link and agree to install the extension when prompted. You might need to restart Firefox to see the new extension in use.

271306 2004-09-12 05:22:00 Hi Jen C

Well I installed Adblock 0.5.2+, then exited Firefox, restarted, entered Firefox again and......Firefox was frozen, couldn't do anything :O

AdBlock was sitting down in the R/hand corner, but couldn't use Firefox !
Were your ears burning? X-(

Did the usual spyware/virus bit. Nothing. Raced in to save my bookmarks profile in another folder and was going to uninstall Firefox, then thought I had better go and check any other preferences in it to save.

Well your life has been saved because Firefox now works..phew!!

Is it normal for Adblock to automatically put everything in it? Have only gone into PF1 site and there are already 11 items in there ! [including that damn site which caused all the agro from the start.]

Regards, Marg.

271307 2004-09-12 05:35:00 Hmm ... sometimes to need to close Firefox down and then re-open it if it plays up like that. Good to see it is all sorted.

This is the list you get when clicking on the Adblock down in the bottom right corner? This is a list of potentially blockable items only, not ones which have been blocked. You just need to select the offending item from that list and then click Add. Don't go blocking all the other items on that list as lots of them are important to how you view this site, example, all the pressf1 .gif's.

Try just blocking the acvsrv.mediaonenetwork.net items and then refresh your page. This should help. :)
