| 271933 | 2004-09-13 08:37:00 | I'm using Xandros 2.0 on a Windows network. I have Windows Networking enabled and it seems to be set up right, but under My Linux it doesn't have the Windows Network icon. I've checked Samba, but it's all running. I also can't create a Windows share or access the other PCs on the network by typing in the NetBIOS names of the PCs, although ICS used to work fine. Anyone know the answer to this one? |

| 271936 | 2004-09-13 12:16:00 | What happens in Konqueror (Xandros File-manager) if you type: smb:// as the address? How about: smb://MSHOME/ Where MSHome is the workgroup of the other PC's. Can you ping the other PC's fine? Have you changed the username / password that konqueror uses to access the shares with? Try mounting a share: mount -t smbfs -o username=UserNameHere, password=PaSsWoRd //192.168.0.20/sharename /mnt/sambasharemount Chill. |
