271789 2004-09-13 02:20:00 I regularly use my email address as the username or logon for different sites. The problem is that it is a pain to type it out in full each time. Should or could I use a macro or doskey or similar to do this?

Thanks Team

271790 2004-09-13 02:23:00 If u have XP let it remember the username/password when u log in Spacemannz (808)
271791 2004-09-13 02:28:00 Thanks Spacemannz

Although I was under the impression that was a bad security risk and not desirable to be setup. I would prefer to press a key combination and have it appear in the line much like a macro I guess. Any thoughts. Thanks G

271792 2004-09-13 02:33:00 Well before a fix, there was a way u could enter a name/password in the URL / bookmark u used.

BUT obviously MS thought that was a bad idea, since they made a fix to stop it .

Dont know about a macro, but if u have programmable keys on your keyboard, and most probably software (XP might let you not sure), you could press a F key and there it is. BUT I think those may only work with the sites not actual passwords and names. Or try a shareware site for a program.
