| 271808 | 2004-09-13 00:33:00 | I have recently purchased a laptop and wish to file share, I then went and bought a belkin desktop network PCI card for my desktop and a crossover cable, followed the installation instructions, (I run Windows XP by the way) using the network wizard. I can now obtain the internet on both machines when the desktop alone is connected, but I am having a problem getting the file sharing operation to work, is there anyone who can assist with my dilemma | bridge (6152) | ||

I use the same on both PC's, when you open a folder on the network you will be prompted to enter a Username and Password. Cheers Murray P |
