271608 2004-09-12 11:15:00 Hey,

Say that I bought a 90min CD and I put it into my CD-Rom. Would the CD-ROM be able to recognize the extra 10 minutes (which is different to normal CDs which have 80 minutes)?

Thanks
Michael

271609 2004-09-12 21:02:00 I take it youre talking about a blank CD Mike?

Some burners support overburning, but it isnt advisable to try and burn over 80 mins. It could do some damage. Even tho some CD's may say theyre 80 or 90 mins. Not many programs can or will go beyond the normal capacity of the CD. Even if you tried to burn 80 or 90 mins of whatever.

271610 2004-09-13 11:08:00 Thanks for you reply but what I meant was how can I use my CD-Rom to check if the CD is actually 90 minutes? Is there a software that I need?

271611 2004-09-13 12:02:00 nero gives a indication, but as said earlier overburning can cause damage. beama (111)
