| 271845 | 2004-09-13 04:31:00 | I have recently started learninf ASP, and have overcome the initial challenges in getting a basic script to work on a 'localhost' basis. I have then come across two scripts early in the program that will not run, and the error messages are making no sense to me at all. These scripts are as supplied on CD, and as checked against the instructions in the book (ASP Solutions by Coriolis) I don't know whether the problem is mine, or the authors, and would greatly appreciate it if someone could email me at graham@ariel.co.nz so I can send a copy of the two file for trial on another machine. Obviously if they work at localhost on other machines but not on mine then the problem is within my set-up. If they do not work for anyone then it is a scritping problem which is a horse of a different colour! THYH Regards Graham Bockett |

| 271847 | 2004-09-15 09:21:00 | Hi Daniel I would like to record my thanks for your efforts above and beyond any call of duty!!! The answer, as you said, lay with the factor.txt and factors.txt files. In the case of simple2.asp I still don't know why it wasn't working, because the file was there. However I renewed it and it now runs OK, and with the factor.txt file in place simple3.asp works too. Again, my thanks for your help. Regards Graham Bockett |
