272003 2004-09-13 11:06:00 Comments on Puretek ADSL Routers (1 port & 4 ports models) will be appreciated. They are cheap indeed.

Are they good?

272004 2004-09-13 12:13:00 Mines great - No issues...

Simple to setup

No fuss

Sadly it requires a reboot each time you change a Port-forward setting (Virtual Server) but thats okay

Only thing Ive noticed is mine takes about 15 seconds each time to fully connect?!

Otherwise - Great router, well recommended, very pleased with mine!
I also sell them to my customers from the Cybercafe. All 8 or so have been happy!

Chill.

Which model are you using, the single port or the 4 ports model? How long have you been using it?

It is so much cheaper than Dynalink RTA 220 or RTA 300.

272006 2004-09-13 12:47:00 I have a pureTek 4 port router. Broken in less than 2 weeks, went back and got it replace. now there is problems with the ports that sometimes dont work, cant detect pc and needs to switch it off and back on the get it back to normal. Sames thing happened to my friends pureTek router.

My opinion, its a bad router.

272007 2004-09-13 13:10:00 Hmm, IIRC, there have been the odd issue with them, firmware or chipset, I can't remember nor the model. Sorry can't be more specific than that, I guess anything on the market will have had problems at some time or other.
