Well, not for me, and I don't think TradeMe has different policies for different people. I have been a member since about mid 2003 and this handy feature has been around as long as I have [been on trademe]. I have used it many times in the last year. BTW, drb1 you are never going to quit are you? |

Martyn my observations regarding real estate agents, while not necessarily being unique to me, have been gleaned from literally hundreds of dealings with them so, you may be absolutely right, my sanity has probably been affected ;) at least it is convenient to lay the blame at their feet . I sincerely believe that many estate agents suspend their morals when they put on their hat and head for work, the balance didn't have any to suspend in the first place and my cynicism at their dealings has evolved from being burnt and many attempted burnings . Of course estate agents are not the only vocation that tends to do this as a matter of course but they do tend to have a profile above all others in the eyes of Joe public for shonky dealings except for perhaps the poor old car shark . The potential to cause financial and emotional damage however, is much higher in the property market . Cheers Murray P |

I am not 100% certain about Trademe but Ebay has had this feature for a long time. I think Trademe have had it longer than "very recently" though. |

You bid as much as you are prepared to pay and if the reserve is a bit higher then you won't know that until the auction is finished unless someone else bids more. |
