If you have norton internet security, that could be the problem. It was blocking the computers from sharing, until I set a trusted IP range. |

I have got norton internet security on my desktop which will be the master and the laptop has got Norton antivirus, so I would be happy if you could explain how a trusted IP range is obtained |

If you double click on NIS's icon in the taskbar, go to personal firewall/home networking is there anything here?
Like 192.168.0.0 and Mask 255.255.255.0 under it?? if not use the Network Wizard to create it. |
