272248 2004-09-14 07:36:00 Hi I am having trouble getting CDs to play in my car that i have burnt myself. I am using nero express.Does anyone know of a burning program that is better ,that really works like bought CDs do cheers nzace (6057)
272249 2004-09-14 07:40:00 What speed did you burn them at? The slower the better is required for some older players. I burn mine at 8x and they play in everything I throw them in.

You might want to try another brand of CD as well. Some players are more fussy about brands than others.

272250 2004-09-14 07:43:00 Hi nzace,

Just go through this checklist and see if it helps:
*Have you burnt CDs in the Audio CD format
*Have you "finalised" the CDs
*Try burning CDs at a very slow speed(1x if possible, or whatever the lowest setting is), and seeing if that helps - it usually does
*Are you burning to a CD-R or a CD-RW disk? CD-Rs are much more likely to work in a car CD player, or any CD player for that matter
*How old is your CD player in your car? Older players may not handle home-burnt CDs well, or at all

272252 2004-09-14 11:08:00 Yea the cds do play but its a mission to get the player to reconise them.My car stereo is quite old ,but it plays bought ones alright, thats why I thought there may be a better burning program available.cheers terry nzace (6057)
