| 272643 | 2004-09-15 10:02:00 | 2 of my PCs connect to the internet via an ADSL router. Recently, one of the PCs has randomly been disconnecetd from the network (ie. loses network connection, and almost instantly the "LAN now connected" bubble comes back up). I am running WinXP Home SP2. This has only happened a couple of times, so i'm curious to figure out what it is. The ADSL router says that the internet is still connected, and I don't get to the router quick enough to see if the LAN disconnects and reconnects quickly. Any ideas? |

| 272644 | 2004-09-15 12:03:00 | Almost definitely a faulty ethernet cable. Or just not plugged in securely enough. Push it in firmly at both ends, and if the problem stays replace the cable. Cheers George. |

| 272645 | 2004-09-16 07:38:00 | cheers George, I tried pushing the cable in yesterday, and I think that might have fixed the problem. I'll monitor the situation for a while and see what happens. |
