| 273279 | 2004-09-17 11:37:00 | I have a folder (directory) named "directoryname_" that will not delete. I suspect that it is the "_" after it's name that is causing this. Anyone know of a good DOS command that works? The following have been tried:- (a) deltree (b) rmdir (c) rd Cheers. |

| 273282 | 2004-09-18 09:39:00 | Back again from true DOS, and I learnt a thing or two there. Firstly, d:\stamp_ as listed in windows was listed in two different ways in DOS (1) by dir/p - stamp (2) by dir /w /p - [stamp ]. :O I noted the gap before the last bracket, bearing in mind, I had already tried deltree stamp and deltree stamp_ before. So, this time, I tried deltree stamp*. It then gave me the "are you sure" mesage which I replied to with a Y, and I knew I had done it. Then switched to windows and my explorer (powerdesk) to check it was gone, and it had gone.:) |
