| 273224 | 2004-09-17 09:44:00 | I have Windows XP Pro (used most of the time), Windows ME (used for some progs which won't run on XP), & Windows 98SE because I use the DOS. The 98 is fine in Dos but in Windows the cursor twitches all the time & sometimes scrolls on its own. It doesn't crash & is quite stable, but twitches all the time. I have reinstalled it from another CD but no difference. The drivers are from the MB CD. Both the ME & XP have no problems. The CPU is Celeron 1.7 and there is 530 meg Ram. If I could get it to work properly I could eliminate the ME, giving me more space. |

| 273227 | 2004-09-17 21:11:00 | Mzee, I have 98se/2k,pro/xp . pro, I have an Intelli point Trackball mouse . I had/have a simular issue, I updated the mouse software to ver4 . 1 and it got a lot better . The intelli point update for win 98se and for xp are different, I only updated 98se not the others . Once on mocrosoft office update, I saw a "Patch" for this (and related) issue specifically for 98, I could never find it again . You understad driver ovewrites with this setup? If you are using shadow tails/trails on the mouse pointer, dont . It agravates the situation . You probably have to reinstall the older mouse drivers, in 98se and not let the other O/s upgrade them again, or something along those lines . Hopefully you will get a super tech with a definate fix, I know how annoying this can be . D . |
