| 273152 | 2004-09-17 08:21:00 | When I make a one-letter typo in an e-mail address to a friend, I get it back as 'Undeliverable'. So why is it spammers get through to my mailbox with addresses that bear no resemblance to my correct one except for my provider? For instance, if a friend types my address as: ermine@xtra.co.nz instead of ervine@xtra.co.nz (not my real address by the way) I will never receive it, right? But when a spammer sends it as xyzbigone@xtra.co.nz I do get it!! Would it not solve (most of) the problem of spam if our providers only allowed the correct address through? Maybe that's too simple for this complicated world? |

| 273153 | 2004-09-17 08:33:00 | BCC field in your e-mail program. I sends a Blind Carbon Copy - put abcfd@isp.co.nz in the To: Field then put eleventeen thousand addresses in the BCC: Field. Spam. Simple. |

Feel sorry for ermine and ervine at xtra tho now :D |

| 273158 | 2004-09-17 09:14:00 | Solution to spamming, simple, track them down and shoot them! Virus writers require more tools, a rack, some hot coals, boiling oil... |

Cruelty to bullets . > > Virus writers require more tools, a rack, some hot > coals, boiling oil . . . Too much work, just hang them upside down by their private bits, in containers of thier own waste, They will then decay in to the containers and become fertilizer, thus doing something useful in their afterlife . |
