| 273103 | 2004-09-17 03:20:00 | Im running XP home, and for the last couple of days I havent been able to start up properly. I get the Welcome screen and I click on my name, then I get a brief flash of my desktop before it says logging out
and then goes back to the welcome screen. I have tried restarting and logging out; I hit F8 and tried safe mode and rolling back to last known good configuration; I even tried unplugging my keyboard in case it was a jammed key none of it made any difference. Ive tried hunting on the net but cant find any mention of this happening. Is it a virus or is there anything Ive missed? Any help VERY gratefully received! |

| 273106 | 2004-09-17 03:57:00 | Thanks for the replies Spacemannz: I have SP1. It's not a continuous thing - it just goes back to the welcome screen and "sits" - but it is every time I try to logon. It's only happened since Wednesday, and there was nothing untoward that happened before that. No Umax scanner either. Lo: no, I've tried safe mode, and trying the last known good configuration but exactly the same thing happens. |
