| 273665 | 2004-09-19 01:58:00 | Hi, Is there anyway I can impement a welcoming message or other when a user logs on under Win2K. A message like "Hi, Welcome", or "This computer may contain a virus", or to either welcome them or warn them. Iv'e looked in the registry, but am not sure if there is a DWORD for it or something, or that I have to create one, but am not sure where exactly. Help appreciated |

To do this with a local policy open local group policy and navigate to: Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security Settings, Local Policies, Security Options, Interactive Logon:Message Text for users attempting to log on. |
