273660 2004-09-19 01:45:00 If I have a runnig F/fox Browser in 1 machine.

Then I install F/fox on another Machine with the same O/s type.

I copy A user profile folder from the running Machine and paste it into the new install.

My thinking is that the new browser should perform as the old for that user, passwords, pages, all.

Does any body see, or know of any reason why this cannot be done?

Or what other manipulations may be required?

273661 2004-09-19 02:13:00 Maybe an easier way would be to import your setting from the "foldername.slt". I presume you're talking windows here.

The Linux version of Firefox has Import under the File menu, from there, navigate to your Profles folder or where ever you've copied it to.

Both Machines 2KPro, Machines on different Sites .

So if I copy profiles to C/D and the import from C/D via browser all should be well?

273663 2004-09-19 02:53:00 Yep. Should work the same as browsing a network or from linux to win as I have done, as in; importing setting for Mozilla and Firfox for the Linux versions from windows and between different installations of win2k on a network for Firefox.

Excellent thank you, I discovered that you can get larger text in Fire Fox than IE, so IE go away (no longer use anyway) from all machines.

Thank you.
