| 273660 | 2004-09-19 01:45:00 | If I have a runnig F/fox Browser in 1 machine. Then I install F/fox on another Machine with the same O/s type. I copy A user profile folder from the running Machine and paste it into the new install. My thinking is that the new browser should perform as the old for that user, passwords, pages, all. Does any body see, or know of any reason why this cannot be done? Or what other manipulations may be required? D. |

The Linux version of Firefox has Import under the File menu, from there, navigate to your Profles folder or where ever you've copied it to. Cheers Murray P |

| 273663 | 2004-09-19 02:53:00 | Yep. Should work the same as browsing a network or from linux to win as I have done, as in; importing setting for Mozilla and Firfox for the Linux versions from windows and between different installations of win2k on a network for Firefox. Cheers Murray P |
