I've had occasion to try and reload WIN8. All went well and I also downloaded WIN8 Media centre pack. I then decided to install updates (94). At the end, and hours later, I got a message that there were errors in the updates. The system then reverted the updates. Now, I get a message that Internet Explorer is not working and of course I can't do anything.
I guess I will have to redo this all again unless the DVD I burnt from an ISO can be used to repair. Any suggestions please? |

Might be the ISO or the media you used to burn the ISO thats the prob. Where did the ISO come from? |

The ISO was the Microsoft original el cheapo offering and installed perfectly well the first time I used it. |

Burn it to another DVD. If that doesnt work, buy another brand of blank DVD |

I started again and this time all of the updates installed. I am at present downloading Win 8.1. I did run into trouble to start with as I was using my old Win7 user a/c. I needed to setup a Microsoft a/c to get into the store so I could start the download. |
