1352509 2013-09-02 01:03:00 What are people finding the best email program to use with W8? Outlook, as installed seems to hopeless after OE6. Any suggestions? Richard (739)
1352510 2013-09-02 01:10:00 I'm using Outlook 2013 on my desktop and the bundled mail client on my Surface Pro. pcuser42 (130)
1352511 2013-09-02 01:36:00 OE6 better than Outlook ??, I hope youre just kidding :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Stick with outlook if you have it. Its the easiest to migrate from old PC to new .

1352512 2013-09-02 02:43:00 Outlook is still the best mail client, imo. How can you possibly think OE6 is better? :x inphinity (7274)
1352513 2013-09-02 03:42:00 Maybe I have just got used to it. Sounds as though I will just have to now get used to Outlook. Richard (739)
1352514 2013-09-02 04:11:00 What problems are you having with Outlook? inphinity (7274)
1352515 2013-09-02 04:21:00 Initial problem was trying to set up a Microsoft account. Don't know why this is necessary. Next was trying to understand the general layout of the Outlook window, but I think I have got this sussed. I have now though ended up with two Mail tiles, one called Outlook and one called Orcon! I'll probably leave both there for a while just in case. Richard (739)
1352516 2013-09-02 04:38:00 Presumably it's Outlook 2013, or ? inphinity (7274)
1352517 2013-09-02 04:46:00 Yes, it is. Richard (739)

I'd have to agree, 2013 seems a bit of a mess , compared to the older versions. & yep, just doing a import from an old PST now often creates that 2nd UNWANTED mail folder. Just right click that folder & press close
I dont know why MS have started to try & trick/confuse people into thinking they need to sign up with an MS a/c for win8 & Office . No excuse for that at all MS .
If you have the retail version of Office/Outlook, you dont need to sign up with MS . Office365 may be different
