This is the thread - could be merged but not essential. pressf1.pcworld.co.nz And yes I have read many times the views against HP consumer machines and to be honest am a bit surprised. But persuaded myself the Envy line were semi-pro etc etc. And the Toshie I bought for my daughter had a hard-drive failure at 18 months just as she was facing university finals. Basically it is a high-spec machine for the price and wasn't a comparable Toshie or Asus available.
