With my computer it doesn't work b/c the printer doesn't have x64 drivers. So we're relying on the one 7yr old laptop we have which is running x32. Also b/c it is a laser MFC they have it in the communal room. Smartphones are restricted ... it's either AirPrint, CloudPrint (the 2 most widely adopted) or each new wireless printer model may have their own Android/Apple app available.
I could go carry the laptop downstairs each time connect USB and then link it thru a Canon app or Google Chrome and print it off my phone - very cumbersome. The printer is 10yrs old I doubt the Canon app will work. Google Chrome / AirPrint software might with a computer connected. |
