Even though you may have deleted the files, your reader could be holding the folder :2cents: | wainuitech (129)
| 1371131 | 2014-03-24 09:05:00 | No, nothing there :( and disk clean up didnt do anything either. I think it may be impossible to fix this short of a completely reinstall which isnt worth it. Ill just hide it away somewhere where it wont bug me. | ollieogg (6593) | ||

Someone before suggested using a Linux Live CD, boot from that , navigate to the desktop and delete the folder, should work as its not actually running form within W8. | wainuitech (129)
| 1371133 | 2014-03-24 09:23:00 | I'd try running chkdsk C: /f from the command prompt. This may sort the file structure out as it says the file isn't there. No guarantees, but worth a try. You will, of course, have done a full image backup before trying fixes! |

| 1371135 | 2014-03-24 21:48:00 | What I find strange is that you can move it but not delete it, unless I misunderstood what you mean by putting it in the try to delete this folder? | dugimodo (138) | ||
| 1371136 | 2014-03-24 22:04:00 | Under the Folders Properties/security ,is there anything there that can be changed(permissions) to be able to delete? | Lawrence (2987) | ||
