1370525 2014-03-19 04:27:00 Great, that is very helpful to me! pcu :D

In future I shall refer all colour-text requirements to you, then you can send them back and I'll just take all the credit ;)

Cheers

But I still don't have any colour, or even color, but I can bold and italicise, or even underline

but Santa where's me b!@#$%&* Colour! It's been gone for several months!

Does this blue work? [COL*R="#0000FF"]Does this blue work?[/COLOR] This is copied from Agent (Post #5) but shouldn't the code have the colour name instead of "#0000FF"???

Cheers

1370526 2014-03-19 04:39:00 Are all of the options actually there, as per the picture:

5628

And is it only this forum, or other places as well ?

1370527 2014-03-19 04:54:00 So!

On further checking, I find that I can't change fonts either, and WYSIWYG is also a dead end i.e. it allows nothing, can't enter text or do anything with it except exit back to the normal mode. Yes WT, all the options are showing thanks.

When I click on the font colour box, the only thing that happens is a tiny black line appears at the bottom left of the blue box with the A in it.

What could be resident (or broken) on my computer that could selectively prevent those two functions from operating?

Mysteriouser and mysteriouser..............and I've tried a reboot as well.............just in case.

Was it one bad joke too many? :horrified

Cheers

1370528 2014-03-19 05:00:00 Sounds like something in your browser is stopping the page from loading properly

You're not still running some ancient forum adblocking CSS in Stylish?

If you have adblock or noscript or such not allowing certain parts of the forum or with some outdated filter list you may also get something like this problem

It probably can if you use the correct HTML colour names: www.w3schools.com or you can use hex code.

1370529 2014-03-19 05:09:00 Try narrowing the problem down a bit, try the forum in a different browser (same computer) see if you get the same result, if it works say in IE, then its firefox or something relating to FF causing it. wainuitech (129)
1370530 2014-03-19 06:05:00 Also, try starting Firefox with add-ons disabled (Help, Restart with Add-ons Disabled) to eliminate a rogue add-on causing the issue. Rod J (451)
1370531 2014-03-19 07:37:00 OK. Bang on there Rod! Everything came right when I started with add-ons disabled.

Yes I do have adblock or Stylish whatever, is it just a matter of needing an update to one of them?

Cheers

What is the diference between Styish Custom and Stylish Sync, sounds like one or the other will update things?

1370532 2014-03-19 07:50:00 Do you have Erayd's old CSS for the forum in your Stylish? I think it is defunct now... I don't even use it anymore - Adblock Plus by itself gets rid of everything anyway. Agent_24 (57)

Yes, though I'm not 100% sure, I probably do.

If so, do I uninstall/delete then load Adblock Plus or what is the recommended route to ad-less heaven?

At the moment my Forum display is very much plain vanilla, no ads, no banner headers, just the essential works.

Cheers

That is pretty much what I have done.

You could go to Tools -> Add-ons -> and look under 'User Styles' and disable the CSS script (if it's there), then see if the colour formatting button comes back.
