1371204 2014-03-24 23:01:00 I have a workstation in my office that cannot connect to the internet though directly connected to the router by a cable. All other workstations access the internet just fine. The PC has XP Pro. I went to Network Diagnostics and ran a scan. The result was that the "internet Web Proxy Failed". Thanks in advance for any help. DocCharger (17242)

Actually all other machines are set to "Automatically Detect Settings". This is the only work station set to proxy server. This was probably set by a previous IT person none of which I am in touch with anymore. This problem work station is the main server for my office network. Looking further into the proxy server settings I find an IP address 127.0.0.1 in Port 1956. Also further down I see "Do Not use proxy server for addresses beginning with <-loopback>.
