| 1371204 | 2014-03-24 23:01:00 | I have a workstation in my office that cannot connect to the internet though directly connected to the router by a cable. All other workstations access the internet just fine. The PC has XP Pro. I went to Network Diagnostics and ran a scan. The result was that the "internet Web Proxy Failed". Thanks in advance for any help. | DocCharger (17242) | ||

| 1371206 | 2014-03-25 16:29:00 | Do other machines have a proxy server set? In Internet Explorer: Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings. Actually all other machines are set to "Automatically Detect Settings". This is the only work station set to proxy server. This was probably set by a previous IT person none of which I am in touch with anymore. This problem work station is the main server for my office network. Looking further into the proxy server settings I find an IP address 127.0.0.1 in Port 1956. Also further down I see "Do Not use proxy server for addresses beginning with <-loopback>. |
