Theres nothing designed specifically to make older versions of windows look like XP but most skinning programs have XP skins. Try litestep, its not 100% (neither is 98 so it doesnt really matter) stable but allows you to fully customize the windows shell. Alternatively you could do a google search yourself for "windows skinning" and find some programs for yourself. |

LiteStep's website (http://www.litestep.net) is where you can download the shell itself, along with some themes, though there are far more themes floating around on theming websites. If you give LiteStep a try, I'd suggest downloading Omar's installer for ease of use, then look around the themes section. There are at least three XP skins, and while they will only skin the taskbar/desktop area for you (you'd need another program to do window components such as title bars), some of them look pretty similar. Two are currently on the recent additions list, XPLite 2, and LiteStep-XP (beta), the latter more closely resembling XP. If you're at all interested in running LiteStep as a shell, there is plenty of information to be found out there. |
