Then there are others that would buy it knowing what speeds it can run at.

275100 2004-09-24 23:31:00 Yeah,but Overclockers are a minority. metla (154)
275101 2004-09-25 00:16:00 All second-hand acquisitions carry the risk of an unknown history.

Anything from computers to cars, houses or even spouses (would two spouses at once be spice?)

There is nothing wrong with admitting you have been overclocking and telling prospective buyers what they can expect. Sellers of modified vehicles boast acceleration and top speed figures. They didn't establish those by leaving the car in the garage on rainy days and only using it for trips to the supermarket with their mother at the wheel.

While there is some onus on the seller to be truthful about known faults, the buyer takes the risk for latent defects that the seller can't possibly predict.

275102 2004-09-25 00:24:00 Nothing wrong with admitting it if asked(and if asked you should be upfront),Overclocking figures are NOT a good way to sell hardware. It will instantly put off the majority of prospective buyers.

And yes Spence, half the time figures for car performance are worked out on a graph,or just pulled out of thin ear,They are rarely real world figures.

Please continue to exhibit complete lack of understanding of the subject, maybe that marketing diploma you have is a dud?

275104 2004-09-25 00:32:00 and a more fitting anology would be to remove a rev limiter fron an engine, then run it day in day out at 2000rpm over the manufacturers set limit. metla (154)
275105 2004-09-25 02:07:00 :^) ROTFLMAO

Never allow personal antipathy to provoke posts Metla old chum.

If you didn't understand my post, your lack of comprehension still does not make it wrong. Posting three times in an attempt to put me down just makes you look like an utter fool vainly pursuing revenge. My original character assessment still stands. Please note that you and one or two others successfully drove Earnie Moore from the forum for the second time. The man was clearly unwell and quite unable to handle personal attacks.

If you are so insensitive than you cannot recognise the signs of severe mental stress in your fellow man you should refrain from posting nasty comments altogether. People have committed suicide under less provocation and you wouldn't want that on your conscience.

275106 2004-09-25 02:20:00 Matter of perspective,i consider someone with discriminatory views telling me to pray to god more insulting then me asking someone if they are on medication.

If he needs help then so be it,he should get some, and if people commit suicide its because they are ill,not because they got hasseled.

Other then that, your references to hardware and performance car figures was and is simply wrong. Its not a matter of comprehension on my part, but lack of understanding the matter at hand on yours.

Perhaps a trip to the libary would be of help?
