| 274935 | 2004-09-24 00:24:00 | Hey does anyone know the name of a nice wee utility that blocks the windows (spam) messenger popups, message bubbles, etc? I was given it a couple of months ago after installing XP and after giving my other pc a clean-out I decided it would be a good idea to run it. But I've forgotten the name of it... anyone know what utility I'm talking about? Any suggestions of other utilities that could come in handy? I can remember it came from an odd half german/half english website... that probably doesn't help much :P. It's just that I'm sick to death of these damned "helpful, user-friendly enhancements" that winXP loves to throw at you. And also the Windows messenger spam... I don't want popup windows asking if my "MEMBER NEEDS TO BE ENLARGED". Blocking these makes life a bit easier... and a lot less disturbing. |
