| 274891 | 2004-09-23 22:40:00 | Some time ago I installed the free Anti Virus "for personal use". I was making an image of my XP with "Acronis True Image" & it stopped to inform me that there was a virus & to clear it first. I did a virus scan on the "Options" folder where the virus was, It reported the virus but did nothing. I deleted the offending file manually. Upon investigation I found that the Free AV only reported virae :( I went to their website & found that there is a free full version available which had to be applied for. I did so & installed it , all is well. If the Icon on the task bar is red with a white Umbrella you have the "demo" version. The real one has a square with yellow, black, green, red shapes on it. |

Sounds like maybe they were in the virus vault, or maybe in system restore or something. |

| 274895 | 2004-09-23 23:06:00 | So did Acronis find the virus or was that your antivirus, if it was acronis then that is a cool feature not even ghost does (that I know of) | Odin (227) | ||
| 274896 | 2004-09-24 12:19:00 | Acronis triggered Anti Virus & stopped. Anti Vir located it as a magi.... in system\options\ but would not remove it. Acronis would not allow the Image making to continue until it was removed. I removed it. The settings in Anti Vir were Repair or move to quarantine if not repairable. It did neither. |
