Whats the best broadband deal (price vs features/speed ratio) considering: ihug broadband xtra telstra clear whoosh etc ive heard of fast tcp which is in beta testing in the states or something, it apparently can download a whole digital movie in seconds! if this stuff comes out normal broadband should go -$$$$ |

| 275669 | 2004-09-26 02:56:00 | one of the aspects that we forget about when talking about connection speeds here, as apposed to the USA, is that huge economies of scale influence prices in the US. We have to pay far more for the sorts of connection speeds that they pay peanuts for there, simply because only 6 people, relatively speaking, are signed up to to each of the various ISPs. With 293 million people they are almost 100 times the size of NZ. And it is a very competetive market. |

Go to www.speedguide.net , which will check your system and recommend how to reset. Sleeked up my cable. Gave a very high Rwin ( some 24k) which Juha said was right. Have a look. Cheers Tony |
