275350 2004-09-24 22:55:00 Hi guys

i am just wondering, my internal DVD drive got some problem

When I load anything, Music CD, CD-RW data, CD-R disc it is working fine

however when I put on any DVD+R and DVD+RW disc, it doesn't seems to want to load, that include those orginal DVD movies and those DVD disc that we recorded from film.. even those data that i saved from the HDD to a DVD+RW or DVD+R, it doesn't seems to load (no.. it is not about region lock!!!.. so, please do not say it is region lock!!!)

Thanks for the help

275351 2004-09-24 23:11:00 So is this DVD just a DVD or a DVD writer??

I take its a DVD burner, as I doubt a CDRW would work, or the CDR for that matter if they havent been finalised.

it is my internal DVD reader... as most of the closed session CD-R and CDRW can be read on this drive if using the HP-DLA...

CD-R & CD-RW are working fine. It is DVD+R and DVD+RW that are the problem.

Sounds like the DVD player may have dirty lense or other focus problems.

275355 2004-09-24 23:52:00 Try cleaning the lense, but apart from that, buying a new drive would be the only answer.

Rule No. 1 Drives die at any age

Rule No.2 There are no reasons

Any smokers in the house or is it a dusty environment?

no, there is no smoker in the house, then there is no dusty in the environment..

what we did last time was, when we playing a DVD a concert DVD on the computer, suddenly it froze completly, CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work... so by pressing the reset button... then this is wot have we done as far as i know...

then afterward the DVD can't move, but other mode of CD work... CDRW, finalised CDR, music CD....
