| 275537 | 2004-09-25 08:11:00 | A while ago i had an ActiveX control for playing MP3's i amde a low requirement mp3 player out of it but i reformatted my computer and forgot to backup the .ocx control :( all i remember that it played MP3 files,(lol) it also had like visualizations sorta(just a level bar) does anyone know what i mean?? if so can you please give me the link??i've been searching for sges but no luck i originally downloaded off www.download.com but it aint there no more :( | Codex (3761) | ||

| 275539 | 2004-09-25 10:36:00 | nope i've tried that ocx and the library contents are corrupted when downloaded, they havn't fixed this problem yet. Anyone else know?? i'm looking for programmers that know what i mean here?? |

| 275540 | 2004-09-26 04:47:00 | Does it have to be ActiveX cos theres a lot of DLL's out there that will do the same thing (and a lot more) . I know theres one that is really good and free but the name has slipped my mind . Ok got it now: FMOD: http://www . fmod . org/ Its fast and has a hell of a lot more features than any ActiveX component would have (supports ogg, wma, EAX etc) . And I've found it easy to work with to - got a basic windows mp3 player up and running in c++ in about 15 minutes . Good Luck - David |
