275912 2004-09-27 00:43:00 Thanks for all your replies but nothing works. I've installed Irfanview but it makes no difference. When I put the cd in the d drive, it flickers but nothing appears on the screen so I can't right click on any photo as they aren't there.
I have windows 98. May be I need a newer version. I can play music on cd's when I put them in the D drive so why not showing photos. Something is missing no doubt, but what????
Thanks for your help anyway.

275913 2004-09-27 00:48:00 Use Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the CD Drive.
Click on it to open the files on it.

It does not have to "autorun" to make the files available to you.

275914 2004-09-27 00:50:00 Well it wont autorun if the cd hasnt got an autorun file on it.

BUT did u OPEN the cd to see what is actually on it. If there's no autorun on the cd itself, you'll be waiting a long time for anything to open. Unless u OPEN it (the cd) yourself in windows explorer.

275915 2004-09-27 05:07:00 Or, as I prefer,

Double left click on IrfanView icon on desktop/File/Open/Look in: down arrow/ Choose Cd/or where ever you have pictures you want to look at/Choose appropriate files/Open.

275916 2004-09-27 05:58:00 Oh... I didn't notice that you had posted two threads on the same topic. I posted a similar response to these replies in your other one.

For future reference please can you keep all your posts on the same topic in one thread as that makes it easier for people helping you.
