| 276172 | 2004-10-11 19:38:00 | Well, Ive decided that today Im going to get my ass in to gear (Its a shame to see my laptop have to be rebooted after a week-long uptime though) and grab this boot floppy (www.addonics.com) and give it a shot! Will get onto it in a few hours, wish me luck! |

| 276174 | 2004-10-12 22:18:00 | www.stefan2000.com Grabbed the USBASPI.SYS from there and the other lil file and added it to my config.sys. It boots (Unlike 4x others Ive tried today) but doesnt actually pickup the HDD? Off to try one of the aforementioned bootloaders Chill. |

Even the UnInstallation wouldnt work :-( Had to boot Lxnay's Live Installation CD and restore GrUB :-/ On to trying XOSL Is it not possible to use GrUB to boot USB Devices? I had a quick google for the subject but not much came up :-/ Chill. |

| 276177 | 2004-10-13 09:57:00 | Chill, Is the Bios, or something in the boot loader/manager the real stumbling block here. O.T. The Bios is the killer for Knoppix on a flash drive, but they have been using a minor boot floppy to start and place a usb driver. Knoppix then boots from flash. Might just as well use cd in this situ IMHO. D. |
