Or name it after your ex-girlfriend (the one you never told your current girlfriend about).

276233 2004-09-30 12:43:00 I just had a look at your boat and you should give it a classic name, it is a fantastic piece of technology, why demean it? You will want to sell it one day and if it has a crappy name it will just look bad.

Uranus, no, Neptune, how about Pluto, that's quite dark, but Sun King is nice.

Serene, Moonlight Raider. Oh I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

276234 2004-09-30 14:39:00 This is a pretty fancy smart-arse boat.
Looks beautiful & is designed for play - not working for a living.
If it was a working fishing boat, it would have a female name - usually the original skipper's wife - which would continue through the next generations of owners for a hundred years or so.
That's what happens to the working boats down here which deal with real rough waters, instead of skimming over the top on nice days.
Pick a name here & it lasts for the life of the boat. People can point to grandmothers/great grandmothers whose names were chosen.
Pick yours & I expect it''ll last until you sell it..
Or am I wrong?
Happy to be proved so.

276239 2004-09-30 15:33:00 Powerful stuff, zquerty.
Not easily understood without some background knowledge.
But thanks for sharing your feelings. Food for thought is always good.
