| 276369 | 2004-09-28 09:21:00 | Just to add to the confusion :), depending on how 'ancient' your PC is, is whether the BIOS will recognise a HDD over 32GB. There are these various size limits imposed by BIOS and OS. You can download HDD utilities from the manufacturers sites that can clone one disk to another, so that your OS is on the newest fastest drive. Also Disk Managers that allow big drives to be run when the BIOS wont recognise them. You will have to suck it and see. Also pay to google up on fitting a new HDD, though there have been many articles in PCW over time. |
