| 277455 | 2004-10-02 05:30:00 | Hello every one :) Iam running Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2 , & every time I tell it to find new updates it does not find any?!?! I know there is Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3 but is that still in beta????? If not why have they not add it to the update list for Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2????? As I would expect there would be a lot of peplum running Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2 & that they did not know about 1.3 Also how stable is Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3????? has any one had any problems at all with it????? |

| 277463 | 2004-10-02 06:55:00 | Hi Stu, unless you want to stick with the old version you're best to follow the link provided and download a fresh install of 1.3. 1.3 is (apparently) a new build which simply cannot be updated from 1.2. There won't be any further updates for 1.2 - so you will be waiting a while my friend. I'm highly doubtful that you would have recieved spyware in a previous product / release from the genuine Spybot (created by Patrick Kolla) - are you sure you didn't download a cloned product in error? | 277464 | 2004-10-02 08:34:00 | Hi I removed Spybot 1.3 tonight as it got a bit slow and heavy, then downloaded the same version again from the Shinobi Resources mirror site. Installed, updated and ran the new installation. Went smoothly. No bugs etc were found. All is well. Although it still won't let me download the latest update. I still think its really worth having for protection. Regards Marg |
