277330 2004-10-01 09:56:00 Hi guys,
I produced a huge Credit Note today all in one form. Sent it to the printer, but the task manager seems to be working over time as the program is trying to return all the items to stock. Task manager graph is showing variations in the amount of work it is doing. It has been working on the task for almost 3 hours now but I am reluctant to close the program as I will have to do all the work again tomorrow.
Comp details, Asus A2500T 512MB Ram 60G HD Win XP pro. Do you think that it will finish the task or do I need to shut it down. I am still able to post to PF1 while all this goes on.

277339 2004-10-02 11:12:00 Looks like it belongs to Cashbook and its a known prob with Cashbook

Cashbook runs at 100% CPU

Cashbook Complete (msarn200.exe) is still a 16 bit application which uses all unused CPU power. This is how 16 bit applications are treated in Windows 2000 onwards. It will therefore show a high value when your computer is idle. The moment another program needs CPU power, Windows takes the CPU power away from the cashbook, and give it to that program. Although the msarn200.exe file sits on near 100%, you should not experience any performance penalty using the cashbook. We will upgrade the cashbook to a 32 bit program at some stage. There will be a drawback in this however, in that the download file size will increase from 5MB to about 15MB which is too large for many users.
