| 277419 | 2004-10-02 14:03:00 | I have a funny story about grounding: I used to sell a lot of second hand computers on trademe. I got the parts from a guy who lives in Churton Park. I have always been careful about using anti-static bags, and keeping myself grounded. Then I meet this guy, who puts motherboards down on his carpet, ram on wooly chairs, doesn't ground himself... But nothing I ever bought from him (except two motherboards) didn't work. I, however, one day accidently let a 256MB ram chip touch a table. I heard a crackle, and it never worked again. Life is strange. |
