| 277536 | 2004-10-02 10:47:00 | Hi I have resurrected my old P11 and loaded Win98SE on it, I used a different CD writer attached to my P4 to load the machine and when time came to shift it to another room I removed my Matsushita DVD drive from my P4 and installed that in the PII. On boot it is detected. It is on it's own IDE cable and is set as a slave. The drive has power and will spin up a disk if one is placed in the tray. However, the B*&%$y thing doesn't show in My Computer therefore I can't access it to load any further software on the machine. It doesn't not appear in the device manager in the System either. I would like to use this drive in the PII as the P4 currently has my CD writer. Any suggestions as to why I can't see the drive? |
