| 277951 | 2004-10-03 13:01:00 | It would be helpful if you advise what OS you have. Windows? NT based systems are quite easy, or 3rd party utilities are good for 9.x systems. In XP it can be done via Computer Management... Start | Settings | Control Panel | Adminstrative Tools | Computer Management. Right click the drive you want to secure/hide, click Properties and go from there. |

I have set up security settings so the other user cannot read/write to my drives but she can still see them. I want to her no see them as if they aren't even there - however i do not want to totally disable them as when the computer is running my profile is downloading etc onto those drives..... Any ideas? Cheers Hunt |

| 277953 | 2004-10-04 05:45:00 | You could use PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI) and hide them through that - the drives are then only viewable via Disk Management or the Command Prompt - not in My Computer/Explorer. They can still be accessed with the Run command or Command Prompt by typing the directory path in though. |
