277698 2004-10-02 12:32:00 Hi,

I have a DVD-ROM drive and I want to turn it into a DVD-Video drive;
that is, I want to watch DVD movies, like LOTR, on a DVD-ROM drive.
What SOFTWARE do I need to perform this transformation?

Cheers,

a luddite

277699 2004-10-02 12:38:00 Something like Powerdvd. Which may or may not have come with your DVD. Spacemannz (808)
277700 2004-10-02 13:37:00 VideoLAN Client (http://videolan.org)

The Win32 (For Windows....) setup is around 7.5MB big :-)

Enjoy and Welcome to PressF1!

277701 2004-10-02 14:46:00 Hi Chilling_Silence, I know DVD decoding software requires a licence and royalties to the movie makers. How do VLC get around this? alphazulusixeightniner (185)
