| 278321 | 2004-10-04 22:33:00 | Upon recently upgrading my PC, I put in a new ASUS motherboard and P4 CPU. After the upgrade I booted up my PC, installed the OS and everything went fine. However a few days later when I turned on my PC at the wall socket, it automatically booted up for no reason. I shut it down and then turned it off and on again at the wall, the same thing happened Now every time I switch it on @ the wall, it automatically boots up - how can I stop it from doing this? |

| 278322 | 2004-10-04 22:37:00 | there will be a power setting in bios as to what to do after power failure. set the after power failure mode to "off" or "last setting" and not to "on" that should be all you need to do. |

| 278324 | 2004-10-04 23:09:00 | THanks Rob, Yeah I tried that and it seems to be working - the only reason I posted up here is that I am pretty sure I tried that a couple of weeks back and it didn't make much diffrerence. But...it seems to be working this time - thanks for your suggestion though. Yea I thought F1 would be a good place to post this query - I was actually a member a few years back but I lost my login details! (I tried recovering my password etc back - but I have since changed email addresses) If I have anymore trouble I will post a msg back on here.. |
