278724 2004-10-06 19:03:00 I have a Leadtec 5300 video card installed in a Pentium 4 3-0.
I have been running it with the original Leadtec driver with no problems.
I decided to install the latest Nvidia drivers. Device manager now reports my card as an Nvidia 5300
My problem is I can not adjust the settings to my liking. When I get the colours and brightnessand contrast right the borders on my status bar and scroll bar disapears. WHY?
Any ideas, or do I put the Leadted drivers back?

278725 2004-10-06 19:24:00 you don't say which OS
For XP right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Expand Display Adapters, right click your graphics card > properties > driver > Rollback driver
Reboot

98/ME, Device Manager & remove card

You should also remove the Nvidia drivers from add Remove programs if listed

278726 2004-10-06 19:27:00 Jeez, I should read things properly.
Did you update the drivers from Windows update, if so dump them & get the proper driver from manufacturers website
The drivers on Windows update cause no end of problems.

278729 2004-10-06 19:35:00 Uninstall the drivers, then use a program like Detonator R.I.P or Detonator Destroyer to properly remove the drivers, then try reinstalling the drivers. Leadtek normally released a modifyed version of the latest drivers why dont you just use those? Pete O'Neil (250)
