Is there anything I can do to cut the boot time down without disabling the NIC. Thanks. | 278430 | 2004-10-05 09:59:00 | Are you using dhcp to assign the ip to the nic or have you mannually assigned (fixed) the ip. If the first statement is true the delay is due to the fact that on bootup your system is looking for a dhcp server to lease an ip from. To manually assign an ip to your nic check the networking FAQ in pf1 it should help you |
