279118 2004-10-08 00:59:00 OS w2k. I want to password protect a folder on a CD. Do I need software for this? If I can do that before it is burnt to CD will it still work? Can you encript a folder?
Thanks for any help

279123 2004-10-08 01:22:00 just zip or rar the folder and put a password with it. trouble is, it gets a bit messey if you are going to be accessing the folder on a regular basis. Jams (1051)

And then burn it to cd.

279125 2004-10-08 01:51:00 There is a software that will do it encrypted into .EXE then u can burn to CD and use anywhere without the need of unzip soft. axcrypt.sourceforge.net ... IMHO, it kinda safer than normal zip
